Taylor Bell took over as the head coach of the Mt. San Jacinto College Women’s basketball program prior to the start of the 2023-24 season.

In his first season Bell's team won the Inland Empire Athletic Conference championship and reached the 3C2A Southern California Regional Finals.  The team posted an overall record of 23-5.

Coach Bell's second year also produced an IEAC title and a trip to the post-season. The team wrapped up the year with a 24-5 overall record and went 15-1 in league match-ups. At the conclusion of the 24-25 season Bell was named the IEAC Coach of the Year.

Bell once again earned IEAC Coach of the Year honors following the 2025-26 season as his team won the conference title, the third in a row under his leadership and the program's eighth straight league championship. The Eagles ended the season unbeaten in IEAC play and 23-6 overall.

Bell, a former MSJC player himself, spent the six seasons prior to taking over the women's program on the coaching staff for the Eagle men’s team.   While on the men’s staff, he helped the Eagles to six straight 3C2A State play-off appearances and a conference championship.

Bell, who played for MSJC from 2010-2012 and was named All Foothill Conference as a sophomore earned a scholarship to complete his playing career at Cal State Stanislaus.

During his senior season the Warriors won the CCAA conference tournament and advanced to the NCAA Division II National Tournament.

Since his graduation from Stanislaus, the Redlands native has been involved in coaching including spending time at the high school level as well as working on the travel ball circuit.  Bell spent the four seasons prior to joining MSJC as a varsity assistant at Citrus Valley High School in Redlands.  

Taylor also has a full-time job on campus as the Student Athlete Scholars Program Coordinator.
